Sam Rush

I started my fitness journey in my teens as a gymnast, which eventually propelled me into coaching and personal training. Workouts have been an anchor in my daily life ever since my dad first took me into the weight room and taught me basic lifts and the importance of proper form, something I have seriously carried into my own training. I have the same determination when it comes to the clients I work with. Throughout my own fitness journey, I learned that what inspires me most is empowering my clients.  I do this through corrective training, adjusting mindset, and compassionate communication and accountability.

I am currently a NASM certified personal trainer, NASM corrective exercise specialist, as well as an ISSA sports rehabilitation and nutrition specialist. I have been a personal trainer for over fifteen years, during which time I have found a passion for continuous learning and development, specializing in a diverse set of programs and certifications. These certifications have allowed me to serve my clients through;

  • Customized training programs
  • Performance nutrition
  • Science-based health and fitness information and resources to lead an active daily life
  • Integration of mindfulness and embodiment techniques to shift mindset
  • Inclusive exercise programing and motivation

To me, success means I am able to guide my clients in choosing healthy habits and behavioral changes that they continue to incorporate into their daily, albeit sometimes hectic, lives. It is my goal to create fitness and nutrition awareness that ultimately leads to independent clients that can eventually create their own personal success stories for their bodies, minds and spirits. When I am not training, working with clients, or learning about new developments in fitness and nutrition, I am a wife and homeschooling mom of two, who loves leading an active life with my family, enjoying any opportunity to get outside and play.
