
MY APPROACH
We will establish your best self through corrective training practices, focusing on proper movement patterns and finding balance within the body’s kinetic chain. We will work together in developing a tailored fitness, mindset and nutrition training program, allotting up to 90 minutes for each training session to ensure you have the opportunity each week to learn and make the necessarily adjustments to your unique and diverse needs. Because functional movement and core strength are the foundation to any training program with me, our first training session will begin with an assessment of your movement efficiency, which identifies deficits or asymmetries in your movement patterns, strength, stability, and mobility.
I am available for both in-person as well remote training through online platforms such as Facetime and Zoom. Geography or quarantines don’t have to get in the way of you and your best self.

CORRECTIVE TRAINING
We will establish your best self through corrective training practices, focusing on proper movement patterns and finding balance within the body’s kinetic chain. You will learn how to recruit the right muscles at the right time in order to produce a specific movement, known as muscle synergies. When activated correctly, they will produce ideal exercise technique and form, a core of any training program I offer. Corrective training consists of a constant focus and insistence on developing proper movement patterns efficiently and safely. This progressive training style allows for workouts to consistently build upon each other, developing proper habits that create a stable and dynamic neuromuscular system, leading to functional movement of the body in daily life.

MINDSET
My approach to training is distinct because I incorporate embodiment into each training session. An embodied approach to personal training offers an effective practice in addressing both the mind and body components of your wellbeing. Through embodiment, we will work on body awareness, restoring the natural relationship between our mind and body to enhance both the nutritional and physical exercise components of your customized fitness program.
By anchoring a healthy mindset to your physical practice, I want to encourage your full and whole being to participate in achieving and exceeding your goals. I want to empower you with the knowledge to get the results you want, while also understanding that quality and continuous improvement during workouts both lead you to feeling strong and grounded. I work clients through various aspects of emotional obstacles with mindset “training,” which is a unique approach to personal training, yet a very effective one. What we think we create. I will challenge you to shift your mindset from what limits you to that which you CAN create.

STRENGTH, CONDITIONING, & PERFORMANCE TRAINING
My job as your trainer is to advance your mind, body and spirit so you can excel. Through strength training and conditioning, we will create a foundation of proper form and muscle function to improve performance and reduce the risk of injury. Performance training focuses on high-intensity exercises that refine both muscle strength and power. I will also introduce you to the dynamic role of core strength and proper warm-up techniques to enhance mobility. My role as your personal trainer will be to help you to continuously advance in a comprehensive training program that promotes performance capability and limits the need for rehabilitation work.

REHABILITATION
During training, I look at the whole body, how it functions, what the weak links are in the kinetic chain, and whether muscles are overactive or underactive. With a focus on finding a natural state of homeostasis, I employ functional movement techniques that will correct those muscular imbalances that can lead to chronic pain or injury. Rehabilitation training is instilling independence, confidence and success in the people I work with. I do this by orienting towards what your body is already capable of and adjusting positions and introducing more challenging exercises along the way. I succeeded when my clients can return to their normal range of motion, enhancing their mobility in a pain-free way.

NUTRITION COUNSELING & WEIGHT LOSS
I take a holistic approach to nutrition. Every BODY is different. Physiologically, psychologically, and emotionally, what you eat needs to be as unique and diverse as you are. As a part of your personal training sessions, we will fine-tune and assess your nutrition needs, re-evaluating your needs on a weekly basis, accommodating for your schedule and lifestyle. Slowly we will develop healthful habits that will effortlessly become a part of your healthy lifestyle changes! There is no “falling off the wagon” since we didn’t hop on one to begin with.
I have learned that weight loss is a very personal and emotional process. Your habitual attitudes and beliefs will affect the boundaries you set for yourself, as well as your self-image. Weight loss is not just in the food you eat or the most current diet trends, it is about becoming aware of your own internal feedback mechanisms. I prioritize teaching my clients how to change perspective, rather than creating limits around food choice. I guide my clients in finding the effortlessness in nutrition by shifting mindsets and recognizing how to make adjustments based on cues from their own body.
